Coaches: U-12 to U-18 Age Group
Rick Caldwell has been coaching for over 36 years. He earned his US Soccer "A" License in 1986. Rick has been the assistant coach for Stanford men's and women's team, UC Berkeley women's team, UC Santa Barbara women's team, Univ. of Massachusetts men's team, and the Sacramento State women's team. He has been the head college coach at Canada College and Sierra College.
Rick has coached the Sacramento Gold of the National Premier Soccer League in their first two years of existence, and as Head Coach in 2010 the Gold won the NPSL National Championship. Rick coached the Northern California Women's Select Team (adult version of youth Olympic Development) and won two national championships (1997 and 2000).
Rick's teams have competed internationally, winning the Harlem Cup in Holland in 1988, and the Kusatsu Cup in Japan in 1999.
Rick played for Stanford University and later played for semipro teams in the Bay Area's Peninsula League.
Raul Echeverria returns to Elk Grove Everton. Raul has over 15 years of coaching experience. Raul began playing soccer when he was 12 years old where he played street soccer in Mexico. He continued playing soccer both in Middle school and High school. Raul's coaching career began when he was 16 years of age when as a first year coach he lead his team to win the League Championship in Puebla, Mexico. Raul continued that winning experience, winning League Championship with River City and the U-17 boys, both District cup and Association Cup with U-14 boys, as well as winning NorCal league with U-15 boys.
Raul has his National D license and has obtained his Everton Way level 1 certification. Raul loves to coach the game and wants to make a positive difference in the players he coaches. This is proven by what he has instilled in his son Ismael Echeverria. Raul instilled in Ismael the importance of dedication and perseverance in order to achieve a goal. Ismael is now Director for Elk Grove Everton U-9 to U-11 age group. We are very excited to have this Father and son team join the dynamic coaching staff for Elk Grove Everton.
Wayne Alfred joins Elk Grove Everton from Trinidad and Tobago soccer clubs. During his youth playing, Wayne played for San Juan Jabloth FC. While playing for this club, he made the National u-14 team. Wayne also played high school soccer and as a senior, he was named MVP. He was also selected to play on the All Star National team for the U-16 and U19's. Wayne move on and played for the BM Spurs where he played for the National U-21 team. He played professional for the San Juan Jabloth FC where in 1998, they were Trinidad and Tobago FA Cup Champions.
Wayne coached a team in Trinidad and Tobago where in 1999 and 2000, this team was league cup championship. He continued his coaching with the Athletico FC and was also a Volunteer coach for the UC Davis Cancer Centre Soccer Team.
Ismael Echeverriaplayed youth competitive soccer in the Elk Grove and Sacramento areas. In 2002 while playing with San Juan SC , he assisted his team, the Storm, in winning the California Cup Championship. During high school Ismael played soccer for Laguna Creek, in which he lettered all four years and was honored as a two time All-Delta League player.
Ismael continued his soccer career in college where he played for the Division I CSU Sacramento Hornets as an outside back. Ismael has been coaching for Elk Grove Everton for three years. He has received his Everton Level 1 diploma and his USSF D license.
